Confining dark sectors: Collider signatures and cosmology

Dr. Hugues Beauchesne

Over the past few years, substantial efforts have been dedicated to discovering confining dark sectors at the LHC. From a collider point of view, confining dark sectors could easily go undetected without dedicated searches. Yet, they can exhibit various unique signatures that could facilitate their discovery and have been the subject of multiple recent searches. From a cosmology point of view, confining dark sectors can explain the correct dark matter abundance in exotic ways that fall outside the standard WIMP paradigm and are far less constrained. In this talk, I will review recent progress on the subject and discuss the contributions of my collaborators and I.
